Last week on Californication, a bombshell was dropped that changed the entire spectrum of the show, and everything we thought that we knew about Hank Moody and his relationship with Mia. It came out in court that he had met Mia previous to the time that they slept together, and had even conversed. Apparently, Hank was just too drunk to even remember, or even get a good look at her, but when the news comes out you can see the jury flips the switch and the guilty option is looking like the favorite.

This week's episode, titled "The Last Supper," did not bother with any sort of build-up, or worry about keeping you in some sort of suspense as to what the verdict might be. From the opening shots, we see Karen go to her computer and look at an entertainment blog, one that has Hank's face plastered on it, the words "Found Guilty" above him. We then go through the cast, as Becca hears the news and storms out of the house, Charlie breaks down, and Abby and Hank are exhausted, and decide to drink away their issues for another night.

Once again, Hank wonders if everyone would just be better off without him. This isn't the first time he has pondered this, and it's often a recurring theme in the show. But now, Hank Moody is a convicted rapist, albeit just statutory rape. He knows he's always been an asshole, and sometimes an opinionated one, but adding sex offender to his long list of negatives was not something he ever saw forthcoming.
